It was Ari Fliecher's idea.
And I LOVE it.
And in case anyone was wondering he's still a profoundly stupid shallow man.

1. Thanks for the warning. |

I was going to watch it in an hour and a half (Pacific Time is what I'm on).
Maybe I'll watch it until Ari comes on.

2. Fleisher's got a silver tongue |

If I were a pol, I'd want him for my press secretary. I've never seen a press secretary so effectively spin lies. I strongly disagree that he is stupid. There is a difference between finding someone's political allegiances objectionable and stupidity. It's useful to know the difference.

5. Yah but Stewert is quicker than he is. |

If the left had power, id like to think our spokesemen would put Ari Fliescher to shame.

8. this Stewart stuff is out of control |

I LOVE Jon Stewart. I have a wicked crush on him. But folks, the man is a comedian. That's his experience and passion. I seriously doubt he would ever consider such a job, even if offered. Remember what he says he does: It's FAKE news; it's COMEDY. :tinfoilhat:

9. I see. It's hard to know |

since there have been a number of serious posts about Stewart running for president. It's cool as a fantasy. I thought you were taking it seriously, cause lots of DUers do.

I think Jon should host the Academy Awards. Chris Rock did an okay job, but Jon would have them howling. :)

10. Rock wasn't his usual self that night |
|
I think he felt too constrained by being on live network television. He's usually much better. I say give him another shot, but take the strait jacket off him. He sure looked great, didn't he? He got my vote for best dressed man at the Oscars.

Q. Do you work for the president or the press? A. Both.
Jon: "Clearly, you could deflect me for hours!"
