How about if we all register as Republicans.
That way we will all get preferential treatment.
Then vote Democrat. It will drive them crazy
wondering what they did wrong to lose so many
members of their constituency. Too Rove like?

1. I have always sponsored this idea.. especially if you live among "them"
If the registrar's office is cluttered with repubes, and you use an absentee ballot, you can be SURE you will get yours.. and if you are regsitering, you can be sure YOUR name will be on the rolls..

And it would be great to mess with their minds.. I always say I am republican in polls :)

2. Perfectly legal...
And you'll get to choose the candidates in the primaries (in some states).

4. Register as repug and then vote in their primary
Pick the most idiotic looser they have to offer. They will never figure out how they got stuck with a perverted felon running for office.

-OH Wait! They do that on their own without our help-

12. Open Primarys in GA too
You can cross vote in either primary but you can only vote in that one primary. If you vote in the repuke primary you can't vote in the Dem Primary. That is how the repukes got Cynthia McKinney out of office when she pissed off Monkeyboy after outing him about his 9/11 affiliations with Saudis. She won it back last year though.

When you do this you have to spread the word quietly or they may try to screw up the Dem Primary. Of course I'd take the lowsiest Dem over any repuke.

oooOOO(Hmmm... Thinks about "Zig Zag" Zell Miller and Joe "Your back is the perfect knife block" Lieberman.)

Oh well, as long as we have enough seats that are Dem we can regain the chairs.

5. Well you must be a democrat
cause it wouldn't matter if it was legal to a republican. Win at any cost.

8. very legal...some states, like here in TN, don't even require a pick...
Edited on Fri Mar-04-05 01:47 PM by grumpy old fart
but we should sign up with the party to keep abreast of their machination. Also, I do enjoy replying to their solicitations and costing them money by mailing back empty envelopes...childish, but satisfying...

10. It's completely pointless.
What preferential treatment do you expect to get? Mailings? Phone calls?

Losing their constituency, as you say, is meaningless. Winning elections is what counts. If they're expecting to win 80% of the vote and they win 54%, who cares?

We need to be proud, open Democrats who work to build the party from the ground up. Especially in "Kansas" areas. Talk about what we truly represent, not what Republicans say we represent.

13. Great idea
But we'd have to inform them of what we want. If the fundies want 10 Commendments, I want the UU 7 Principles and Buddha's 4 Noble Truths with them. Let them know that the non-Christian religious joined to promote god of all flavors, cultures, etc since fundies are promoting "morals".

Ask Republicians to ease up on cousin marriage restrictions and have them endorse it nationally. Recommend we increase gun control since terrorists may get them. No guns, no terrorists. We could also recommend comparitive religion in high school as a requirement for graduation.

As that would become national, what redstater would vote for a party that pormotes inbreeding, removing guns, teaching of real religion, and all in the name of stopping terrorism?

14. I've often wondered about a candidate running as a Repuke
especially in Red states, then switching to Democrat once they're sworn in.

18. There was a letter writer commenting in the KC Star..
A few weeks back that he has always voted for the Republican candidate, but he liked the "real action" in the Democratic Primaries.
