5. Wal-mart refuses to stock morning after pill
There was also a US pharmacist who refused to fill a prescription a while back that was in the headlines.

9. I remember reading a coiple of months ago
that the ultimate aim of the extreme fundies is to do away with all birth control as they believe it is evil. They believe that men and women are here only to procreate. Also women need to stay home and have children. Wish I could remember where I read this--soome interview with a fundie man. They hate women so much and seem to be afraid of them. Wonder why ? lol

10. They won't win this one.
The big drug companies make a zillion dollars a year on birth control pills. W and the drug companies are tight. He would never let them take a financial hit like this.

12. Maybe so. Then these fundie men can keep their women barefoot
and pregnant. (It's hard to afford shoes when you have 15 kids.)

13. article 'Do or die' time for measures
http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/local/articles/0224leg-bills24.html

A House bill to shield pharmacists who refuse to fill "morning-after" birth-control prescriptions based on religious or moral grounds could spark the most heated debate. House Bill 2541, sponsored by Phoenix Republican Doug Quelland, is scheduled for floor action this afternoon. A similar Senate bill will likely get a debate next week.

SNIP

"Can you include Viagra and other stimulants (in the bill)?" Sen. Barbara Leff, R-Paradise Valley, asked colleagues during a caucus meeting Tuesday. "I might have a moral objection to people running around wanting to have sex at every moment."

Sen. Ron Gould, R-Lake Havasu replied, "Viagra does not kill anybody or cause the death of the unborn, so it shouldn't be included."

Leff said she did not think contraceptives caused the death of the unborn, either.
