In The Mouth Of Madness
Edited on Sun Mar-06-05 05:44 AM by mordarlar
I just saw a post about the soldier who was sent to a psychiatrist because he had reported abuses.

It made me think about the movie i saw a while back, In The Mouth Of Madness. The main premise of the movie is about an author, who's book has an interesting affect on people. But there is a scene in the film where the only sane person is thought to be insane.

>>>Madness seems to be the normal state of things, while reason and sanity have no place in this new world created by the mind of Sutter Cane.<<< Or bush for those of us still living in reality.

We are in the mouth of madness.

1. I don't think its quite that bad
I think its a case of attempting to intimidate and discredit a whistle-blower. The soldier was speaking up about the torture, and so his CO decided to pay him back and shut him up. The easiest way to discredit someone is to label them nuts (just ask John McCain).

In The Mouth Of Madness was an awesome flick by the way. One of my favorite Sam Neil movies.

2. reminds me of a quote
"Insanity: a perfectly rational adjustment to the insane world."
