1. The sad thing is...
Those responsible for this will never see it, or admit it was their fault:cry: :grr:

5. May God / Allah / YHWH / the Creator / Waheguru / the One
... have mercy on us and awaken our souls.

The Pledge of Resistance

We believe that as people living
in the United States it is our
responsibility to resist the injustices
done by our government,
in our names

Not in our name
will you wage endless war
there can be no more deaths
no more transfusions
of blood for oil

Not in our name
will you invade countries
bomb civilians, kill more children
letting history take its course
over the graves of the nameless

Not in our name
will you erode the very freedoms
you have claimed to fight for

Not by our hands
will we supply weapons and funding
for the annihilation of families
on foreign soil

Not by our mouths
will we let fear silence us

Not by our hearts
will we allow whole peoples
or countries to be deemed evil

Not by our will
and Not in our name

We pledge resistance

We pledge alliance with those
who have come under attack
for voicing opposition to the war
or for their religion or ethnicity

We pledge to make common cause
with the people of the world
to bring about justice,
freedom and peace

Another world is possible
and we pledge to make it real.

8. Shock and Awe
Red, white, and blue in this case doesn't comfort me..but somehow leaving Bushies responsible red, white, black and blue does! Guess I prefer taking an "unpatriotic" lable over one that is "unfeeling"

10. Ya, They overlook the obvious
Like "we hate Americans because they kill our children", and sell ignorant church people on the idea that somehow they hate our freedom (to kill at will and with prejudice?) and threaten Jesus somehow.

What a load is right

13. I wish we could force the "beautiful mind" people to look at
these photos and hundreds more.

But aristocracies have always believed they deserve their luxuries and everyone else can suffer.

14. As hard as it is to look at those photographs,
looking at them isn't the half of it. I think of their parents, who must feel as if their heart has been ripped out.

Right before the war started, everytime I put my daughter to bed, I thought of mothers in Baghdad, half a world away, and what they must go through each night as the sky got dark and they were putting their little ones to bed. Were they wondering if this would be the night? Would this be the night they'd feel the ground shake and pray for their lives to be spared?

When I put my daughter to bed, all is quiet and I don't fear bombs or death.

My heart went out to every mother in Iraq and now that we have long known many of their children have been killed, my heart breaks for them.

People refusing to look upon their faces, refusing to acknowledge their grief or their legitimate anger only make it worse.

23. Exactly, I look at pictures like these and I see my
childrens faces. It's all I can do to keep from going insane. If one more freeper who has actually seen pictures like these tells me "It's a war, it goes with the territory" I'm going to go ballistic....

15. My god.
No words. I have four children of my own, and I can't even express what I'm feeling right now.

How? Why?

What have these bastards done to my country that we can do this?

16. So this is what "freedom on the march" looks like.
We've marched into their country and liberated them from their parents, homes, health, safety and most of all their future. I'm sure the neocons and their simple minded Fundy followers are sleeping well tonight knowing we've given the Iraqi children that sort of FREEDOM.

18. Why yes, This is the "freedom" to kill for Jesus
and also the Freedom to steal their mineral wealth. Evidently they need to be "liberated" from their limbs, lives, and oil.

Every flag-waver in this country should be forced to see every child that is injured or killed.

Republican bastards !!

20. I can't see a W '04 sticker without suppressing violent impulses...
...anymore. I promise never to back down or find a reason to not shout it out ever again. Republicans have become insane, evil robots. And that's putting it moderately. We have to free them.

24. A Quote from Mahatma Gandhi
Edited on Mon Mar-07-05 05:22 PM by Up2Late
What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?

Mahatma Gandhi, "Non-Violence in Peace and War"
