That doesn't sound like such a bad word?CIA'S term for sweeping into a country grabbing him and whisking him away to a country that approves of torture.Bushies say they try to prevent the torture but once they're in that country it's out of their hands. They lie right to your face and don't even blink.

1. It's a nice little euphamism they like to use. |
|
Just like Abu Ghraib wasn't "torture" - it was "abuse."
All of these words are very explicity chosen and there's a reason for it.

Back in the days when people butchered their own hogs, they would boil pieces of fat cut from the area next to the skin. It was called rendering. The fat liquefied and was ladled out to cool into lard. The skin floated to the top. It was crackling or pig skins. I used to be so angry at my dad because he thought it was important to pass along those old traditions. Now I sometimes wonder if the day will come when I might have to use them.

3. I like that they said, "The policy was started under the Clinton |
|
Administration.". No matter what kind of stupid things they do or come up with, they always put it all back off on Clinton.

4. Terminated with extreme prejudice |

Sounds ever so much nicer than "We tortured the nun, then while her sister nuns watched from their vantage point tied to a tree, we made her dig her own grave before popping her in the back of the head with a Glock."
I'm sure Mr. Negroponte would approve of the obfuscatory language that gives him plausible deniability of knowing that anything untoward was happening while he was in charge.
