They had a breakdown of the different generations. Those born 1945 and before were called "MATURES"...According to the stats, there are about 68 million of those still in the marketplace. From 1946 to 1964, the "BABYBOOMERS" were born. According to the states, there were about 98 million of those. Those born from 1965 t0 1977 were called "GEN-Xers". The stats said there were about 44 million of them. Those born from 1977 to the present were called "MILLENNIALS". The stats said there would be 78-100 million of those. It was not specific because I suppose they are still counting them?? But my thought was, "Doesn't this contradict the conservative argument about not having workers to pay into Social Security?"

2. The dirty little secret about the "youngers" supporting us Boomers |
|
is not so much that there are not enough of them.. it;s that with outsourcing, their jobs will pay less and the 12.4 will be on much lower wages.. That will make it harder to pay out what Boomers have "earned"...
They days of college kids coming out of school with 80K jobs being thrown at them... are OVER..
Lots of college grads are hoping that their afterschool high school jobs are still available to them, so they can repay their loans while they live in Mom ^ Dad's spare bedroom:(

3. I was born in '63 and have the same problem |
|
I don't think of myself as a baby boomer.
To respond to the actual OP, I think that's called the "echo boom" now - it's the baby boomer's babies. And yes, the increased population is not being accounted for in shrub's crisis du joir.
