REJECTED!
Amendment 17: To provide a homestead floor for the elderly.

Amendment 24: To amend the wage priority provision and to amend the payment of insurance benefits to retirees.
REJECTED!
Amendment 28: To exempt debtors whose financial problems were caused by serious medical problems from means testing.
REJECTED!
Amendment 29: To provide protection for medical debt homeowners.
REJECTED!
Amendment 31: To limit the amount of interest that can be charged on any extension of credit to 30 percent.
REJECTED!
Amendment 32: To preserve existing bankruptcy protections for individuals experiencing economic distress as caregivers to ill or disabled family members.
REJECTED!
Amendment 37: To exempt debtors from means testing if their financial problems were caused by identity theft.
REJECTED!
Amendment 38: To discourage predatory lending practices.
REJECTED!

4. The bit about identity theft scares me the most. |
|
There's absolutely no logic to that one. . . I mean, someone could make a poorly thought out and callous arguement to defend most of the other rejections, but I can't imagine a logical arguement against the bit about excemption due to identity theft.
