6. The truth is harsh
and Lieberman actually had the guts to vote against the bill which cuts against those who donate to his campaigns.

20. It wasn't guts; it was political expediency.
He's been feeling the heat about voting with the majority all the time, so he cast a Nay on an important bill knowing they've got the votes to get it passed. Very astute and cynical of Holy Joe.

He's independent.

Hillary was with her husband at the hospital. She gets a bye on this vote.

call a press conference and give a detailed explaination for why they voted the way they did. They have one week, Start__ing now! The clocks ticking.

He has been getting a lot of heat lately over his fence sitting on Social Security.

Where was Clinton she did not even have th courage to vote either way.

Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 08:05 PM by depakid
Personally, I think if push came to shove, some of those who are on the 'nay" list would have jumped ship, based on their vote the last time this came up. Wyden voted for it the last time- and voted for the Medicare scam- I think he would crossed....

Excuse me, I am being too charitable.

May these slimebag, money-grubbing, pond-scum sucking douche-bags, fall on hard times, go broke and have to feel the same consequences they are foisting on millions of americans who get into financial trouble over the next few years.

11. My updated karmic wish
I told a friend last week that Santorum and Bush need to be born again, literally, as inner-city African American handicapped children whose Dad is missing and whose Mom is a coke-addict whore.

Now I must add that Mom is filing for bankruptcy.

24. welcome to my room....I'm going to update with wallpaper I think
make a "Hall of Shame" with all the bullshit bills that get passed and which Dems voted for them.
This to accompany my Hammond chart/pictures of each President, my 400 books, of which 300 are politics and history, my computer, and my little tv set constantly on CSPAN (when I bother to turn it on).

What I REALLY need is a Dart Board with Bush as the background.

I wanna test you folks on this point. If he or anyone else on this list won the parties nomination to run for president, would you people vote for him knowing what he did today with this bankruptcy bill? What is your answer?

19. I sure wouldn't.
I wouldn't even consider it.

and I virutally guarantee that if that were to happen- or if the Dems run any DINO's, the Greens run a strong campaign to ensure their defeat.

So as a practical matter, Dems might want to consider that-

25. As my uncle said
this last election "I won't vote for either of those fools." If it was Biden that's how I'd feel. I couldn't bring myself to vote republican and Biden, from what I've seen of him, is just as bad as one.

He enabled the republicans to claim that this is 'bipartisan' when the blowback comes and the howling when the effects are felt by americans.

He has SMEARED democrats with the fucked up policies of republicans so it can blow back on dems.

and he did it further 12 silver pieces.

He is pond scum

Some people on here are throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Political expediency is - guess what? Part of fucking POLITICS!!
I have not changed my mind on Byrd and I sure as hell wouldn't want our people to vote for some Repug or get a green Dem in his place who could never the kind of backbone and articulation Robert Byrd has. All because of one vote.

37. Check out the PAC contributors to his re-election campaign
All you have to do is follow the money.

Reid took in over $300,000 from Finance/Insurance and Real Estate.
He's not the only Dem that accepted money from the credit card companies, of course.

First he votes for Kinda Sleazy Rice, and now this?! And in his sixth term, it's not like he's pandering for votes or anything. Sheesh.

Akaka, on the other hand, came through again with flying colors.
