What my wife told repuke who was complaining about gas prices
Here they rose 20 cents yesterday. I did manage to find a station that hadn't raised prices $1.91.
My wife came home from work last night and was telling about a guy she works with that was campaigning for bu$h last fall. He was bitching about the price of gasoline.
She looked at him and said, "I wasn't the one who voted for oil-boy"

I laughed my ass off.
She is usually pretty quiet about politics. I must finally be rubbing off on her.

and have two forms of id ready. You need to prove who you are.

How about they prove who they are?

Oh wait. They have. Few seem to be paying attention.

4. The one thing that stops me from rubbing it in and gloating
Is the fact that it is really screwing me.

But, I take comfort in telling Republicans who have the audacity to complain, "Hey, at least I didn't campaign for this shit"

"Don't blame me -- I voted for Kerry!" Good for the Marylander who sported that one. If only I had noticed it before they passed me I'd have given them a thumbs up!

16. Like the bumper sticker, but...
I wish they had a big one that listed all of the reasons why Bush is a failure first.

High Gas Prices
No New Net Jobs
No WMD's
1500+ soldiers dead
10'000+ Iraqi women and children dead
Huge Deficit
Weak Dollar
Trying to destroy social security
etc...

Don't Blame Me!!!! I voted for Kerry!!

12. On the topic of gas prices...
If you're a member, buy your gasoline at Costco. You'd be hard pressed to find a better price and they treat their employees like gold.

If you gotta buy gas, at least buy it with a clean conscience.

13. Bush should ask the Saudis to "turn on the oil spigot". During his 2000
election campaign we were given to believe he had influence with these folks.

25. They're pissed at him too.
Seems they didn't like negative post-9/11 publicity and the CIA death threats against bin Laden's bankers.

They've paid good money to the Bushies over the years to protect their privacy.

14. Gas pump stickers -- a national strategy?
Edited on Fri Mar-11-05 08:38 AM by SpiralHawk
While I was tanking up the other day, I noticed a simple sticker on the gas pump, right next to the price per gallon:

"Thanks a pantload, George W. Bush.
You and the Republicans
are responsible for high gas prices."

That's all it said. No name-calling -- just the facts. It was stunning. Any BushCo voter running into this -- while filling the tank and draining the wallet -- has to Deal With The TRUTH (TM).

One has to wonder whether other people are printing up similar stickers and plastering them on pumps from coast to coast.

15. Need to get some labels and print some message like that up
I will be traveling in a week and it would be good opportunity to spread the truth, through West Virginia, North and South Carolina, Florida.
I figure I will pay through the nose for gas on this trip.

20. Why not put stickers up everywhere with the truth...
God knows the media won't report it(truth). I was thinking that an organized campaign doing something like this would have helped before the election. There are to many that only hear InSannity, Rush, and Fox News.

The Truth is the only answer.

23. I saw a "sticker-maker" in Office Depot yesterday
You print your message on plain paper and run it through this device and it makes it into a sticker.

Here's my idea:

Like the price you're paying for gas?
Thank George W. Bush.
Wait 'til you see what he has planned for your Social Security.

27. Asked myself that question a thousand times, Gabi!
Maybe a million.

I have no proof, and I don't think Kerry and Bush are in cahoots, but I think Bush's people told Kerry there wouldn't be an election if Kerry didn't go along with the charade. Bush might set off a nuke in some liberal town -- Detroit, say -- and then it's martial law. So, Team Kerry ignore ALL the things that would've absolutely destroyed Bushler.

Another question to ponder: During both the presidential and vice-presidential debates, Smirk and Sneer both brought up "Dr. Khan" of Pakistan and how they shut down his nuclear bomb program. I counted the seconds until Kerry and then Edwards would deliver their rebuttals and destroy any chance of re-selection. Kerry helped shut down BCCI, which had funded Khan and the Pakistani nuke program, in the early 90s. Instead, Kerry let him slide.

And now we're stuck with four more wars or whatever evil the little turd from Crawford can dream up.

THE DEAL

Why is Washington going easy on Pakistan’s nuclear black marketers?

BTW: I really dig the Hieronymous Bosch-based sculptures. Is it possible to really buy the stuff that's inside my head? It'd be great to own models of what the BFEE will face in the next world.
