I hear news reports about the Atlanta shooter and I leap to |
|
that Jesus joke: "What kind of car did Jesus drive?"
A Honda. Right in the Bible it states that they were "all in one Accord."
Does this make me a bad person?
BTW -- Atlanta shooter last seen in a green Honda Accord, heading to the SW side of the city.

The joke should be "What kind of car did the apostles drive?" since Acts 5:12 declares that "...<t>hey were all with one accord in Solomon's porch."
The "porch" referred to is, of course, a portico of the Temple where the apostles would meet. However, consider it in light of this joke:
"A man had a none-too-bright younger brother whom he'd give odd jobs to earn cash. One day the man asked his younger brother to paint the porch out back.
The younger brother came back some time later, grinning and announcing the job was done. He also said, "By the way, that wasn't a Porch, it was a Mercedes!"
So this rigorous analysis of scripture clearly indicates that the apostles could have been riding around in their buddy Solomon's "Porch".
Of course, there are two denominations out there that cling to one view or the other fiercely. They are called the "Porchians" and "Accordians".
I'll stop now. I promise.
