Bob does a good job of bringing out the best in a guest. Bernie does great on his own but Bob does a good job of directing the flow of conversation.

I came in late and only caught the latter half. I have a program in my computer that'll 'capture' anything coming through the sound card (eg: streaming audio) and save it to a variety of sound formats. I'll be ready next time.

Also on that page is a huge list of those programs in archives. You can listen with Real Audio, or download them in MP3 files (what I'm doing right now). There are a lot of tiny and CHEAP MP3 devices that'll fit in your shirt-pocket, that hold many, many, hours of that stuff.

I'm building up a pretty good library of such stuff, including a lot of of Left Business Observer and Democracy Now! programs.

I have a few portable devices that'll play those MP3 files, including a Samsung 20GB HD iPod knock-off. They'll allow me to navigate within each sound file, which my little ULTRA 8 won't. But that one will run for many many HOURS on a single replacable AAA battery. All the others run off internal rechargable batteries. Out on the street, they'll go empty right when you DON'T want them to.
