What would be wrong with that?
Seriously. Share. I am leaning in that direction.

I respect Sen. Clinton, but I think the repugs are anxious to push Clinton on us specifically because they think/know she won't win. So anyone who suggests Clinton causes me to be skeptical.

|
I admire both women tremendously (especially Boxer). Realistically, however, we need a nice white, Christian man, who is married, has at least one child, and preferably speaks with a twang. Otherwise, the red states will simply give us the finger again.
My picks for '08: Governors Mark Warner of Virginia and/or Tom Vilsak of Iowa, with Senators Tom Harkin (Iowa) or Evan Bayh (Indiana) as possible running mates. Yeah, I know, not exactly the average liberal's first choice, but I want to win, damn it!!

Not all presidents came from the Senate or were related to former presidents. In fact, many consider "an outsider" to be a plus when voting. Just my .02 cents.

26. In defense of Howard Dean, I think his "scream" was -- |
|
-- an effort to buoy his loyal volunteers -- a way of affirming their participation in the process. Any good coach does this from the sidelines at a school basketball game, and good candidates do it also for their volunteers and staff.
I blame the media for distorting the event, not Dean for rallying his troops.

I'm not going to get in another flamewar with you over Wes Clark, 4 Star General, Rhodes Scholar, Supreme allied commander of Europe, head of his West Debate team and....
How does General Wesley Clark compare to legendary West Point Generals? See for yourself.
1. General Robert E. Lee - Class of 1829 #2 in class of 46 (Civil War) 2. General Ulysses S. Grant - Class of 1843 #21 in class of 39 (Civil War) 3. General John J. Pershing - Class of 1886 #30 in class of 76 (World War I) 4. General Douglas MacArthur - Class of 1903 #1 in class of 94 (World War II + Korea) 5. General George S. Patton -Class of 1909 #46 in class of 153 (World War II) 6. General Dwight Eisenhower - Class of 1915 #61 in class of 164 (World War II) 7. General William Westmoreland - Class of 1936 #112 in class of 276 (Vietnam) 8. General Norman Schwarzkopf - Class of 1956 #43 in class of 480 (Dessert Storm) 9. General Wesley Clark - Class of 1966 #1 in class of 579 (NATO/Kosovo)
Definitely one of the smartest generals in U.S. history.
We Clark supporters know who he is and what he is. I'll save the fights for another few years. :eyes:

No way would either of those be a winning ticket today, and I don't think the country will change enough in 3 1/2 years to make it a winning ticket.

Rice won't head the GOP ticket in '08, although I could see them running her as the VP candidate.
But an all-female ticket -- not in this climate. No way.
And Hillary Clinton on the ticket at either level is an instant GOP win. Too many people who aren't even Republicans hate her.

I don't think that Hillary would nominate a progressive with guts for VP. If Hillary stays true to form, she would run with a DLC "moderate".
