I like Hilary Clinton but she has |
|
too much baggage. She is carrying the baggage of the eight years of Bill Clinton. The media will remind the public every day she is the wife of Bill Clinton, and all their garbage.
It bothers me that the pukes want her to run, they have too much stuff on her. The pukes are going to push the person they can hit the most.

1. I'm in total agreement. Besides the baggage, |
|
it's real suspect to me if the repugs are acting encouraging about a Hillary run. That's because they think they know she doesn't have a chance. But as has been said, it's way too early. PS I like Durbin or Feingold myself. :-)

I'm uncomfortable with Hilary at this point (and I am a woman), it is too early to support anyone. Let's just hear from those who are planning to oppose her. If my vote counted today I would vote for Boxer over Clinton.
Personally, I am not getting excited until all the candidates are out there.

Kind of funny how Bill left with high approval ratings, eh?

5. I think he was a great president though |
|
not perfect. The whole blow job debacle was blown way out of proportion IMO, but many people will never forgive him for it.

He left with high approval ratings. Had he been able to run, he probably would have won a third term.
Please don't internalize the right wing spin.

7. And please don't tell me what to do or think. |
|
I'm not internalizing anything. I know people-family members and friends- who think this was the utmost crime during his presidency, the hell with all the good things he accomplished. I don't agree, but there are a lot of people who feel that way out there, and most of them now classify themselves as republicans.

Not long ago I got into an argument with a rightwinger about Clinton. She was praising Bush and I was aruging with her about PNAC and other stuff and she said she had to believe her president and whatnot and I asked her if she was the same way with Bill and she said "he's a liar and cheater." :eyes: Go figure. Never mind all the wonderful and progressive deeds like others have said. He's that old liar and cheater hick (/sarcasam on last sentence).

the right wing is going to spin. We need to have a candidate the right wing will have a difficult time to spin.

Their spin has never worked on the Clintons.
Why do you think they hate them so?

Bill always fought back and they still hold their head up high and go on with their lives. They don't let the neocons get to them which I do admir since that is hard I'm sure.

3. I think she's fine where she is |
|
where there is a huge yuppie population and the positions of the DLC make the most sense.
I don't want another DLC candidate of either sex to run for president, pushing yuppie economics and ignoring how the party's working class base has been killed by both the GOP's total bungling and by the DLC's business as usual policies of free trade dogma, continued deregulation, and an artificially strong dollar.
Only a return to economic populism will sway sufficient numbers of people to avoid having another easy theft of the 2008 election, as the election of Schwitzer in South Dakota demonstrated.

11. I personally think it's a setup |
|
I think it's a set up. I was talking about this about a friend of mine. We all know how the right loves to give us diversion all the time with things but I think for the most part we've figured out their games. So what if our democratic leaders are playing a game of their own? What if it's all just a set up for the right to focus on bashing Hillary and then when 2008 comes along our real canidate pops up and they'd be so focused on Hillary they won't have time to come at our canidate? Is it possible? Maybe it could explain the niceness that Bill has been given to Poppy and junior lately. I just don't think Hillary is going to run and neither does my friend. She doesn't have quite as much experience as some other people who could run (if she does she'll only win based on who she is and not so much as her policies). Hillary hasn't done like Rice and come out and said "no" (although I don't believe her of course since he is a proven and known liar). Do you all think it's possible?

18. Hillary has a history. A history that Karl Rove will not be able to easily |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-16-05 10:13 PM by applegrove
"reframe". That is why she is so great. The Whitewater investigation was a $75 Million background check. Hillary is spotless. She has been proven to be human and ridiculously in love with her guy. She is well respected by even Republican Senators. Her numbers are great.
That 8 years of power and the light shining on her make her very hard for the Repuke puke-masters & smoke-masters to make her into something she is not.
I knew as soon as she started to get some support that we would see negative posts here. When the negative Hillary posts become one out of every 6... then we know the trolls, freepers, rovbots & repukes have looked at her numbers too and are logged on to our site in a desperate attempt to quash her rise.
Hillary's long history makes her 'unable to be reframed'. She will be indestructible. How long did it take Kerry to be reframed? Three weeks? We need someone with a history as long & deep as the roots of an oak. Hillary is uniquely qualified.

20. Glad I could help. I didn't even go into her numbers in terms of which |
|
groups would love to vote for her. She is a great candidate. And if she decides not to run... she is a great asset to the Democratic Party as are many other senior Senators.
We have a good ship load of Senators and that is what we need. A ship of state.

21. Hilary is like Joan of Arc |
|
The pukes are going to burn her at the stakes. Everyone knows how gullible the intelligence of the American people tears everone apart.
Sorry to say, I see the pukes bringing up Bill, and Bill and Bill amd they are going to tie all of this together. Not sure if Hilary can respond to all this.
But... my feeling is anyone who might be available now is already burned by the pukes. My suggestion we support Jesus Christ the family man/
