No Dem display at community event -- AGAIN |
|
This type of stuff just pisses me off. I took the kids downtown to the St. Paddy's Day parade. There, toward the back end of the parade was a huge truck, plastered with GOP signs (big bush* signs on each end... local candidates... US Congress folks... etc.). Members of the local party were marching around handing out candy, pencils, note pads and other goodies. Of course, all of it contained GOP advertising... either a specific candidate or the group as whole.
We can protest all we want, but we also need to show our faces at community events. If nothing else, it would show that we stand FOR things as well as AGAINST things.

1. Well, I have to admit, I don't think that the Dems |
|
were in the St. Paddy's day parade in my town (good idea, BTW), but we sure turned out in force for the local Gay Pride Parade! :)

I went down there a couple weeks ago and the whole place has been cleaned out and locked up.
I have no clue what's going on and I'm still waiting on a call back from the state offices.

4. Oh jeez. That's a bummer. You don't have ANY local party structure?!? |
