Singer Patti LaBelle is a Repuke???

I am hoping she is just hard up for gigs. What a disappointment.

1. She sang at the Democratic National Convention

It was probably just a performance to make money, because I believe she's a Democrat.

Here's part of an interview she did:

QUESTION: YOUR RECENT PERFORMANCE AT THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION WAS FABULOUS, SO I JUST HAVE TO ASK: HOW IMPORTANT IS IT FOR PEOPLE TO VOTE AT THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS?

LABELLE: “Honey, if we all want to live out tomorrow like it’s tomorrow, we better get out there and vote—and vote Democrat . Ok. (Cause honey) it’s a new day!”

2. I think the number of performers who place ideals over a paycheck
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 12:57 PM by Mike Daniels
are pretty few and far between when compared to the grand total or artists out there.

How many classic R&B singers performed at George H.W. Bush's inauguration? A good number based on the stories in Rolling Stone at the time and I don't think many were likely to be Repubicans.

That said, I imagine that Patti did nothing more than arrive, sing, collect her check and leave.

3. I found out my favorite Blues singer may be a republican
I just saw the Allen Keyes Blues Band,he burned up the stage with his Bobby Blue Bland medely and guess who sat in on piano,Condi Barrel House Rice wow ! Bruce Willis played his ass off on harp and Otis " Rush " Limberger held down the bottom. It was a real toe tapper at the Pat Boone Dinner Theater
In reality most R&B people don't make much money and have to eat, when you see a rich music star performing for the turd maggots you have to wonder.
