1. If this was a Democrat, it would be headline news and a scandal |

It's a right winger, so no media will care.

He <Bush> went on to say "that's what we're paid for," and promised, "We're going to find out who did this and when we do, they aren't going to like me as president."
I think they already knew that, and flying jets into buildings was one way they chose to express their unhappiness.
But notice the spin: Bush as tough guy, Bush as man of action. Fleisher probably thinks about ways to get that message across while he's sleeping, it's so ingrained in his mindset. The poor guy should hire a de-programmer, like they use on Moonies, and go on a retreat to straighten himself out.

Giving a sometimes minute-by-minute account of Sept. 11, 2001, Fleischer disclosed, for instance, that upon learning a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center, Bush first remarked that it must have been "a terrible pilot," or "perhaps a heart attack."
Wouldn't our heroic pilot president know that airliners have something called a "co-pilot" so that if the pilot had a heart attack, the co-pilot would take over? And unless the pilot and co-pilot were both as stupid as Bush, there is no chance that they could both be bad enough pilots to steer a plane into the largest buildings on the skyline on a bright sunny day.
