...And May God Continue To Bless The United States Of Halliburton!
Edited on Tue Mar-29-05 09:06 AM by DistressedAmerican
I've been doing some thinking about the sickening corruption in this administration and I think that Halliburton must be the single best symbol of the oil greed, war profiteering and corporate influence on the government that plagues us today.

Take some time to visit their website:
http://www.halliburton.com/

It is very sunny in Halliburtonlandia these days. Profits and stock prices are way up!

A little history on the company from their site:
"History of Halliburton

Nearing a Century of Excellence
For almost a century, Halliburton has made an indelible impression on the world. From developing breakthrough technologies and constructing monumental infrastructure projects to managing logistics for military operations, Halliburton and our predecessor companies have been leaders in the energy services and engineering and construction (E&C) industries.

Halliburton has expanded through internal growth and acquisition since it was established in 1919. Major purchases include Brown & Root, an engineering and construction company, in 1962 and Dresser Industries, a major provider of integrated services and project management for the oil industry, in 1998. Dresser had acquired M.W. Kellogg, a leader in petroleum refining and petrochemical processing, technology, engineering and construction, in 1988."

I would certainly agree that they have made an indelible mark. Not through the methods they discuss. But through the gradual steady growth of its power and influence and through its sponsorship of wars around the globe and its profiting handsomely from it.

Their exploitation of death sponsored by Halliburton goes hand in hand with its raping of the environment for personal corporate gain:

"Halliburton Energy Services Group

Halliburton's Energy Services Group consists of four business segments: 1) Drilling and Formation Evaluation, 2) Fluid Systems, 3) Production Optimization and 4) Digital and Consulting Solutions.

These segments offer a broad array of products and services to upstream oil and gas customers worldwide, ranging from the manufacturing of drill bits and other downhole and completion tools to pressure pumping services."

These people CLEARLY ARE THE ENEMY of freedom and peace loving Americans! I'll be doing some more research and getting back throughout the day with interesting the tidbits that I find.

Help me out and Google their asses. Let us know what we find out about our Military Indistrial Oil Complex!

Know your enemy!

Joe Allbaugh testifies on Capitol Hill a Federal Emergency Management Agency Director, on Sept. 24, 2002, in Washington, as Environmental Protection Agency administrator Christine Todd Whitman looks on. Ken Lambert/AP
Joe Allbaugh, the Oklahoman known for his flat-top haircut and loyalty to President Bush, has a new client: Halliburton, the Houston-based company once led by Vice President Cheney.

Allbaugh, a close adviser to Bush during his Texas days, registered to lobby on behalf of Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR), Halliburton's construction and engineering subsidiary. Allbaugh's wife and partner at the Allbaugh Company, Diane Allbaugh, is also listed on the registration, which was filed last week with the Senate Office of Public Records.

In a statement, a spokeswoman for Halliburton said Allbaugh had not been commissioned to do any direct lobbying.
