and the very public sideshow going on in Florida - which includes some very colorful characters with rhetoric that is reminiscent of the rhetoric that fueled Rudolf.

Not good for the most extremist branch of the religious right. Makes folks growing uncomfortable - even more uncomfortable.

Any predictions on how the media will cover it?

Barely (as a nod to the rel right) - so the public doesn't draw the parallels?

or

All the time (as a media money maker - if folks watch then ratings go up)?

I am torn - I think the media does pander to the far right... BUT I think that the profit motive often trumps a lot... as does an easy story (low cost, don't need a lot of investigative work that costs $$, etc.)

Either way - the timing, though coincidental, is very interesting.
