3. We need to keep track of these events/incidents
and keep flashing back to them - esp during the trial of rudolf - and push folks who are comfortable ignoring the sideshow.. and thinking that these folks are really just "harmless".

4. Notice that not one of these fine Republican leaders who
whipped this into a fine froth has stepped forward to call for calm and denounce this type of behavior? Perhaps we should start calling for them to do so and be accountable for their words. Is this what they mean by a culture of life?

6. They see the irony
and I think that some fear what has been unleashed. I think others fear reminding the public of their role given the low polling as a result - so they stay quiet for political expediency.

I think we ought to create a compendium of outrageous events and threats compiled during this period... and remind folks about the dangerous mentality lurking just beneath the veneer of "sincere" beliefs.

-The guy trying to steal a gun to be used to free Terri
-Death threats against Schaivo and his family
-Now death threats agains't a Schaivo relative
-Crazy guy who found torture "fun" in Iraq - now wanting to be arrested in order to come into contact with Schaivo or Greer and make them be in Schaivo's condition...

Other items?

8. Seriously, the public should turn the fire up under these
politicians who so cynically sought to manipulate the public and these people's lives with this interference. If someone gets killed or hurt, it should not only go to back to the perpetrator but to Delay and all his cronies who willingly stood out in front of cameras and cravenly pandered. It should also be put back on the media which aided in the creation of this circus down there.

7. If this were on the other foot
every Democratic politician/spokesperson who sat in a political talk show chair would be asked to distance him/herself from the protestors. "Do you denounce their actions?" "Do you think what they are doing is right?" etc.

9. In the absence of the media actually doing their job,
Dems need to ask those questions of their counterparts on these gab shows.

12. Impartial MSM - even one that does its job would be nice.

Some facts now and then rather than speculation would go a long way.
