Can the Schiavo case give strength for stem cell research? |
|
Would people suffering from major brain damage be a good example of why there should be some sort of stem cell research?

1. Only if those favoring this research publicize the issue |
|
If it gets buried under the media circus, it won't be an issue.

2. Not really. It is unlikely that Stem Cell (even in the most "Star Trek" |
|
manifestation) would have helped TS.
There are plenty of other patients/illnesses/accidents we can point to as being better candidates for stem cell therapy.

3. What? Didn't you hear? |

Terri is floating around the room having conversations with her family, laughing at their jokes, and arm-wrestling her brother. Why would she need stem cell therapy? Simple physical therapy would have her up and walking around in no time. But that damn evil husband won't let her have it. Damn culture of death. We need some brave person to run in and shove bread down her throat. Yeah, yeah..
