Wanna have some fun with your fundy neighbors & friends? |
|
This is sort of in reference to the threads about the yellow magnetic ribbons that all too often adorn the vehicles of insincere fundies who would never really support our troops in any concrete way other than trying to paint themselves as patriotic with pieces of magnetic plastic.
There is something you can do.
First make sure that your target, err, I mean your acquaintance, is an insincere neo-con fundy. You know, like that obnoxious ultra-nitwit repuke bunch who live across the street from you. Follow them and their ribbon-adorned vehicle to the mall, or better yet the local bar. Watch where they park and after they’ve gone inside, discreetly replace their yellow "Support the Troops" ribbons with other ones you just happen to have that are exactly the same color and shape, only ones that trash Bush. It'll probably be weeks before they even notice the replacement(s), but it'll be far too late by then. In the unfortunate event that some other fundy takes exception to the new ribbons on their car and does something nasty, hey, it'll only be one fundy picking on another.
Even more-so with bumper stickers. Why put a bumper sticker on YOUR car that says "Support our troops - Impeach Bush", when you can discreetly put it on your fundy neighbor's back bumper some night when they're parked at some local function in town, preferably one with lots of other fundies walking by in the parking lot. I mean, who's car would you rather see get keyed by some fundy asshole strolling the parking lot, yours or theirs?
Yes. You, too, can make a difference!

I like devious. :)
I still wouldn't do it, though.

mini-van! At a local grocery store my daughter spotted a car with all the W04, Liberty isn't Free, etc. as we were pulling out. MOM! Pull over! So I did, shielding her with the van, she grabbed one of my "Support our troops, bring them home NOW" yellow ribbon magnets from my van and slapped it on the errrrr, target. We were very cheerful. Now we carry a camera for the next one.......
Btw, I got the ribbons from a link here but I can't find it to get more. I ordered 2 dozen, gave them away at work, at church, at the 3/19 protest rally. Some singer in town from California asked for one. I need more!

6. Great idea - here's another. |
|
Put a W=9/11 sitcker on their car. Get a camera (with a long lens). Sit back and wait for the car to get smashed up.
I've been thinking about something like this for a while. There's a nice spotting scope in my closet I could use to watch the antics of bush supportsers.

Come to think of it, I also have a long-range spotting scope in my possession with which to watch the antics....not that I would ever enjoy watching anything like that, ahem #@cough%@ #@cough%@ O8)

18. Unfortunately, my scope won't adapt for a camera, although |
|
I have taken some pictures of wildlife through it just by butting a camera up against the lens.

8. I was in texas 2 months ago |
|
and i got TRASHED on margaritas and snaked a ribbon from a car.
I had my friend alter it to say "support the troops, not the war."
it's on my car now, but it's peeling, sadly.
those chinese kids have no sense of craftsmanship.

under their windshield wiper. My criteria is the car must have a Bush sticker and a ribbon or religious symbol. I don't do cars that just have ribbons.

I had two Kerry signs stolen, then they took my handpainted "W stands for War" sign, to end it all, dumped a spitoon or some shit on one of the house cars.
My neighbor had made a sign that read "This diabetic Republican in favor of stem cell research is voting Kerry," and she told me she got a letter telling her not to reproduce if shes so worried about diabetes. Shes a new mother!
very lovely ideas- will do!

21. Here's an idea to catch the creeps that steal your signs next time |
|
election time comes around. Tie some fishhooks to the sides of the sign with pieces of 15-pound test monofilament fishing line about 8 inchs long and just let them dangle down the sides. Then tie a 10 foot piece of rope to the bottom of one of the legs of the sign and connect the other end to an anchor of some sort or even a tree if possible. When the perpetrator grabs your sign in the middle of the night, he'll take off running with it, but then when the anchor rope catches, it'll pull the sign down through his hands...and the loose fish lines will then do the rest, catching the sucker red-handed. You're gonna hear some high pitched screaming when those barbs get imbedded an inch or two. OUCH!!
