Randi is brining up the MI Bill that says Drs don't have to treat Gays.
She said that the Catholics were clapping as the bill was passed in the Rethug MI House.

Didn't they forget that Jesus helped a guy on the road. They are legislating against their own religion.

1. that's okay, you see, gay doctors don't have to treat assholes.
and there are lots of us in every profession.

If those idiots think that legislating discrimination is a one way street, we're about to teach them a painful lesson.

3. Well, if the same logic is applied here....
Edited on Tue Mar-29-05 03:58 PM by Shakespeare
....that's been applied in the thread about pharmacists refusing to fill prescriptions for the pill: let them just go to another doctor.

No harm done, right?

WRONG.

It's ALL discrimination. Woe is us if we allow any of this bullshit "conscience legislation" pass.

5. Discrimination is just one of the factors
How about living in South Louisiana where 99% of doctors and pharmacists and population is Catholic? I'm thinking that only a very few doctors and pharmacists here would make the decision to discriminate, even tho they're Catholic....I hope.

7. Could this go to the SCOTUS? It is out and out discrimination and
should never have passed. How do Christians expect to get into heaven when they die? Is God going to give them a pass? These people practice religion but they need a lot more practice. I am a Christian and consider this act unreligious.

8. Seems to be in opposition to the various Codes of Ethics
and the Hypocratic Oath that all Doctors take.

Wonder if the AMA will weigh in on this issue?

9. HELLOOO? Calling Log Cabin Rethuglicans! Waddya think about this?
The legislators that you support, many of whom who believe that AIDS was a plague sent by god to kill gays, are now passing laws so that you can not receive medical treatment because of your "sexual preference".

Hello? Are you there?

Will you people please finally WAKE THE FUCK UP now?
