21. Yeah, why does it? Eva Peron died because she refused

treatment. I don't know what her reasoning was, but I really don't think she was so out there that she was planning on being a saint or martyr. I really think it was more vanity. She didn't want to have the ravages on her face from the radiation or whatever it was they did back then for cancer. It was Juan who had her preserved like Lenin because he was aware of the political value of having her looking alive and lovely even when she was dead. It's my understanding that she is still in a very well preserved condition even today.
