For the sake of the parents, I wish Terri would die already... |
|
This has to be extremely hard on them(as well as Michael). Many on here may disagree, but I wish she would die already. Her staying alive only makes it harder on those fighting over her well-being. Her dying will start the healing process for Michael and her parents.

when thousands die of malnutrition in Africa, doesn't it seem odd that someone in a vegetative state who will never be able to function again gets a feeding tube?

2. I have lost all sympathy for Terri's parents |
|
at first I felt sorry for them because they're clearly in deep denial over their daughter's condition. But as the days go on, the statements they make are more outrageous and absurd. They have no respect for their daughter. If they did, they would not have allowed her to be exploited by the media and freaks like Randall Terry.

I've seen what a firm grip false hope can have on some people, especially people who have based their whole lives on hovering around the brain damaged person in the bed. It's completely taken over their lives for the past 15 years. Yes, it's time for them to let go. No, they aren't capable of doing that themselves, they need to be forced by the circumstance of their daughter's death. Consider that they will have nothing left when she goes.
The only villains in this drama are the busybodies rasing hell outside the hospice, the political and crackpot religious types who are goading them on, and the hate radio jocks who continue to whip up hate. There's even some villainy in MSM newscasts, as they're all pussyfooting around, calling this whole thing a "fight for life."
I have sympathy for the Schindlers.
I have no sympathy for the opportunists, the wack jobs, the haters, or the politicians who miscalculated so badly over this whole disgraceful episode. May Karma give them everything they all so richly deserve.

You said it. I wish all those people would just go home and mind their own business. If they care about life they should do some anti-war protesting. :banghead:

but maybe she needs someone to tell her that it is ok to let go. My mom and I were just talking about this. How many times have you heard stories about people on the verge of death, struggling to stay alive, but won't let go until someone tells them that it's O.K.? Maybe she feels (I'm talking in a spiritual sense here) that she can't let go until a truce is called between her husband and her parents. I wish, for her sake, that they would all stop fighting and go to her and let her know that at this point it's ok for her to let go. Her parents are putting her through Hell, and I wish they would just stop...for her sake.

5. Wolf Blitzer interviewed a Dr. / Spiritualist who suggested the same |
|
thing today. I had to agree! I was talking with a group of people just last week who were giving anecdotal stories about personal experiences where someone waited for a loved one and then died after the need was fulfilled or they died after being told it was OK to go. I was actually stunned to hear a medical Dr. say that too.

8. That very thing happened with my grandfather.. |
|
He was in hospice on his deathbed, and it wasn't until his whole family told him it was okay to go that he finally did.
