Freepers were so concerned with Terry Schiavo, but......... |
|
They don't give a damn about the Soldiers and Marines that have been killed in Iraq in a war based on lies about WMD's. Resident Bush lied and our Soldiers died, but the republicans are unconcerned about that. What hypocrites the freepers are.

This is a double edged sword from them. Their next step is to turn the mourning/anger against the judiciary and get enough support to make Frist's "nuclear option" happen.
They can then ram through judges "that would have let Terri live." In reality, they'll just be more stooges for the billionaires. Remember: Vote to stick it to judicial activism; get judges who ease corporate tax shelters and go lenient on white collar crime.

I think you nailed it... it's about future judicial appointments.

10. When the fight turns to judicial appointments, Americans aren't going to |
|
remember the crazy shit the Republicans have said these last two weeks. Even if they did remember it, they're not going to link it to the judicial appointments because they're not already programmed that way. The only folks who are preprogrammed that way are us (who are fighting against wackjobs in the judiciary) and the religiously insane (who want wackjobs in the judiciary).
Since we're so far from the next election, stopping the nuclear option is going to be about which side can generate the most noise in the senate, not what the polls look like or who is ultimately correct.

he cuts vet benefits. It's almost as if they're bipolar or something.

6. THAT is what has always baffled me. |

"Support our troops" seems to be nothing but empty rhetoric.

4. well, they didn't really care about Schiavo either |
|
She just gave a face to their empty rhetoric. And she provided them with the opportunity to invoke moral superiority and righteous outrage without actually having to do anything tangible or work for any kind of change.

9. Where is the data on how many PVS soldiers come home from Iraq? |
|
They are barely even reporting on any of the wounded...most stories only speak of the amputees who rush thru rehabilitation so they can get back to "their duty". There's no such thing as "erring on the side of life" for many of the pawns being used in this miserable game the right-wing is playing!

11. 150 minutes after the story breaks, 1,500 FReeper posts about it ... |
|
Talk about going ballistic... I checked their site to see their bitching and moaning but didn't expect that many posts from the freepers already.
Yet, the story "Death Toll in Darfur Near 300,000" only has 29 replies. Just shows you where their concerns lie...

First, it's us "left libruls" who killed her with our activist judges. But then what did you expect.
Then comes the real capper...or crapper..."while Conservatives can be hypocrites on "some issues", this doesn't mean an innocent woman should be murdered..." (this may not be totally accurate, but the gist is there). Here's Rushbo giving his horde cover so they can play holier-than-thou on any topic, including Iraq since this was such a "national tragedy".
Bullshit! It was a corporate media manufactured news event...run with the full cooperation and encouragement of this regime and it's big money operators to distract attention and use this stalking horse to push through pending bills to eliminate the fillibuster in the Senate and then to pack the lower courts with right wing judges who will never let a liability suit see the light of settlement.
No hypocrisy in the least...when it comes to greed and arrogance, these oxygen thieves are consistant every step of the way...
