Mr. Schiavo's lawyer is speaking with reporters

and he is doing an excellent job of detailing Mrs. Schiavo's last hours as well as addressing some of the issues surrounding Father Parone, Jesse Jackson, the reason the family was asked to leave.

I didn't know that Michael Schiavo had been staying in a room in the hostel for the last 14 days, ensuring that Mrs. Schiavo was never left alone. When the Schindler family wished to visit, Michael would leave until the family chose to leave and then would return to Terri's room.

I am watching this on a Canadian news channel, are the US outlets covering it?

They stated that the Schindlers and he were never in the room at the same time (so he had to already be there) and I didn't see any photos of Michael coming in or going out.

I think if Mrs. Schiavo's brother and sister were in the room with Michael, upon her death they would have immediately attacked Michael and called him names. If I was Michael, I would want to avoid that as well.

And overall, it seemed that it was a coincidence she died while he was in the room, as opposed to 10 minutes earlier when they were in the room.

warranted. One of his best remarks was that hopefully this tragedy would force people to sit down and think about their personal wishes as to life support, to have a living will drawn up and to discuss the details with their families.

He said it was his sincere wish that no other family would have to go through the horrible bitter drama that has evolved between the Schindlers and the Schiavos.
