SORRY GUYS!!!! Oh dear god I am so embarrassed... |
|
I went kind of crazy with my mouse button when my post took too long to load.
I really apologize for disrupting the board like that. Thank you Skinner for letting me back on!

14. Tandalayo_Scheisskopf -- that's the funniest! |
|
Doesn't "scheiss kopf" translate to "Shit Head" in German?
Maybe I should know what Tandalayo means!
Sounds like those Swiss guys with the cough drops yodelling "TANDALAYO" -- "yo, yo, yo"
Is there a funny story to go with your name on DU?

4. Hey, it can happen to anyone ---- |
|
I was sending a message yesterday and a book leaned on a key --
Next thing I knew, I had:
Dear Mary,
It's come to my attentionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Forget about it! Happy Spring -- Nguyen must be a very popular name. I know about six people from southeast Asia, specifically Viet Nam, who have that name.
I read somewhere that Chinese people only have about 200 last names. Is that true?

20. haha yeah its a pretty common Vietnamese name |
|
or Texas you can count on a lot people with that last name in the phone books.
From what I know of the story, a few hundred years ago the first emperor or king of Vietnam who united the country was named Nguyen, and in honor of him everyone changed their last name to his.
My Vietnamese history is usualyl pretty terrible but i think thats how it became so common.

Great story! A friend of mine works for a sportswear company and he travels to Viet Nam and China, where they outsource their shoe manufacturing. I'll have to ask him if he's ever heard that story!
Regards from Radio Lady
Check with you guys in the morning. I gotta go make my bed and clean up my room -- REALLY -- I can hear echoes of my mother's voice in my head.
Bye for now!

Unless it involves calling a customer a "poor slob" and forgetting to delete their email address before forwarding to coworkers, I'm not impressed.
