If Bushco paid Armstrong Wms. and fake news readers, don't |

you think it's just as likely they are paying people to infiltrate websites like this one? Their ad and publicity budget nearly doubles Clintons in the first four years of **'s term.
People here often dismiss freeptrolls as stupid for wasting so much time. I believe they are being paid for their time. And, I believe they had everything to do with the Schiavo takeover on this site. Not only that, I think they're lurking and building post numbers for the next "takeover" of the board to blot out the news in the same way that it's blotted out by the MSM.

... if only for this reason--DU isn't causing them a panic.
That said, there might be a few people monitoring who are paid to do so--by any number of agencies.
But, for the most part, the disruptors are just that--ordinary people who get a charge out of sneaking in, laying down their diatribe until they get booted and then chortling to their friends about it.

When drug addict Rush Limbaugh, and other talking heads who have national audiences, mention DU as opposed to other left wing websites I'd say DU does cause them some problems. Therefore, I think there'd be more interest in DU than other sites--even sites like Salon.

3. I think that scenario is very possible |
|
Only I think that the infiltrators would come from RNC and not the administration. But who knows, look at Jeff Gannon and how improbable that whole episode was. We're not dealing with the smartest people in the world, you know.

4. I'd worry a lot more about democratic interest groups |

paying people to be a part of groups like this. Used in the right way, different campaigns could influence the people on this site in many different ways.. such as fund raising/rumors about opponents etc.
Maybe its just me, but I think a Democratic candidate would have a lot more to gain from having a presence on this messageboard than a Republican.
