A theory: Freeptard obnoxiousness is cultivated by the right on purpose.
The right wing trains thier most fervent believers via hate radio to be so obnoxious that liberals and moderates never want to discuss anything with them. That way they'll never have thier minds opened up.

Do you agree?

1. The same training method used by pit bull owners in the Bronx...
Their brains are so addled they sometimes bite off their own tails.

2. Agree 100%
They're so blinded by ideology that they wouldn't know a fact if it slapped 'em upside the head.

5. Plus they refute facts as liberal propaganeda
because the RW hate machine has taught them that anything they don't agree with is liberal lies dreamed up by communist think tanks.

3. The right trains their believers in blind enthusiasm
RWers are blindly in love with bush and the hammer. It doesn't matter what they do. They blindly accept the man and give no thought to the doctrines and consequences. That's fascism.

4. I'd partially agree.
The structure of a lot of the arguments is intended to halt further discussion, yes. I'd say it's there to be obstructive first and obnoxious second, though.

6. Agreed; their rhetoric would be laughable if it weren't so dangerous...
...I mean, do these people REALLY think we're part of some secret 'culture of death'? What...the...fuck...is...wrong with them?

The worst part is that there's zero examination of the consequences of their actions...Judges start getting murdered, and NOBODY's more suprised than the GOP...

7. I agree wholeheartedly
One of the professional mailing lists I'm on was plagued with a frothing right winger who resorted to really nasty personal attacks. (Example: He told a list member whose wife is Japanese, "You're so repulsive that you had to go to Japan to get laid." That was the general tone of his remarks.)

After some other list members began piling onto him for his all-around nastiness he let slip the reason for his obnoxiousness (which appeared only when he was discussing political topics, not professional matters). He said that he used to argue with liberals but it got "boring." Therefore, whenever a liberal confronted him, he started raving, and then they left him alone.

8. I converted a few wingers
I know a guy who was a hard-core, right wing moron. The WMD lies turned him against Bush. He went from being a right winger to an anarchist. (Hey, at least he's not a right winger!) I have seen many Republicans recently say "But I'm not a Republican" at the end of their rants. The word "Republican" is slowly becoming a dirty word, I think.

10. It's not just the right. They target the left as well
Pundits like Coulter exist to drive the left batty. With both sides whipped into emotional knots reason dies. The left relies on reason where the right relies on emotional appeals to drive their forces forward. In such a case an enraged left cannot move.

11. Fear is the RW's biggest and best weapon
Look at how they politicized 9/11 and used it to launch an unconscionable war against a defenseless nation. They pit the freeps against us because as long as those poor deluded fools fear that we're going to turn their sons into homosexuals, force an abortion on their daughters, and have us all reading from the Koran before high school football games, they'll continue to believe that we're their real enemy. Works like a charm too.

12. Of Course, You're Right
They have targeted the most selfish, greedy and xenophobic aspects of the american people and dumbed things down toward the least and dimmest. It has been a winning strategy, which is exactly why it's so aggravating.

16. Sociopaths are rule - makers. Look at BTK. He enforced local lawn
ornament bylaws all day long and would go to extreme ends (100s of pates of documentation) when some bylaw issue went to court. Meanwhile.. he was the BTK killer.

It is about rule-making and controlling your opposition completely .. while you break the laws.

Kind of a projection. I think sociopaths often project their bad parts (many) onto victims. Look at how Bush thinks he is all light and religious when he is just a sadistic asshole. The a greater extent.. true socipaths do the same. They want to see their victim (the other) be forced to do the things that they actually should be suffering. They pass the whole responsibility thing on to their victims.

Look at BTK.

Bush WH no different. They screw with the meaning of any law that gets in their way and then they coerce liberals or the media. Hypocrites is too shallow a word.
