Which member of Bush's Cabinet will attend the Pope's Funeral?
If any? Condi? Cheney? Will they dig up Colin Powell and send him because Condi has no social skills? I'm willing to bet that more Democrats will have the decency to attend than Republicans.
Just curious...

9. I don't know...
...About "our fearless leader" going. He'd probably expect his large personal security army be present with him; which may not go over well with The Vatican.

to show up himself. When I think of the Pope, despite a lot of differences I have with him, I do think of a man of Peace.

5. It's going to be a crowd.
It's going to be the hottest ticket in town.

I expect that Bush will get a block of seats and reward friends with them, and get the gratitude of some rich or high profile catholics.

Probably let Santorum come along, the little prick.

15. Exactly!
That was the entire reason for this post. Will he be as inappropriate as Cheney was? Will he ask Cheney to sit this one out due to his prior gaffes?

I don't think he'll send his brother. He doesn't have the status....

and he didn't attend his funeral.

Actually, no President in the 20th century attended the funeral of a Pope.

That being said, I think Bush may go, if not he'll send Condi.

He won't pass up that opportunity! What an interruption!
But I don't see how all his Secret Service, Limos and police would ever fit in. He and entourage would take up half the place.
Plus the fact he's too chicken. I don't think they will even let him in. Maybe he won't even get invited.

It was on Lou Dobbs, and I think it was Dana Bash. She said they didin't know for sure, but WH indicates Shrub would go.

Wonder if he'll have any guilt feelings? He was repremanded by teh Pope when he was there last. Pope wasn't happe with him starting that war!
