Which is the most important news story not being covered in the media?
(This is not Pope related. Obviously that is a big story.)

I don't know if this is the most important, but I've been doing some reading on the kinds of things that are happening in the continent of Africa lately. Just atrocious and unacceptable.

We won't hear about any of them until they a)bomb us, or b)find oil.
As a friend of mine said, though, we don't have to worry until we start selling them weapons.
:scared:

What other news items are falling through the cracks?

1. I want the WMD intelligence failures pounded home. I don't think
most people are buying the story that intelligence is to blame. How many books were written that discussed Bush saying make the connection like Richard Clarks. I wonder if Tenet will finally speak or if they have him by the balls somehow. Also I think the dems should take Bush up on his statement that all life is important, and decisions should be made to error on the side of life. They could really go somewhere with that one. Iraq war, killing of innocent people because they were "looking" for Saddam, 17,000 kids and 7000 adults dying everyday from starvation. 45 million Americans without healthcare. The list could go on.

5. Related to Peak Oil
is the ANWR story that the MSM seemed not to give a shit about. We're going to rape a large ecosystem to obtain oil that won't even put a dent in our national large oil deficit, let alone the amount of oil needed to feed China.

It's scary: the U.S. has more than 300 Million vehicles with about the same amount of population. China has 22 Million vehicles for 1.5 Billion people. What happens when they finally come out of the dark ages and create a modern economy with a middle class? Three words: we are screwed.

11. Yep, the stolen election
....everything else pales in comparison. In fact, most every other problem can be traced back to the stolen election of 2000. Imagine Gore as president?

13. Yes, Democracy simply does not exist until we fix the Election
process. Nothing else will make any difference until Elections are honest.
