5. Remember the year after 911
911 came up on the anniversary of this tragedy in NY...and I believe it came up a second time. Too many eery things going on in these times since the end of 2000.

13. That was "Dialing for Dollars" Nick Perry...
BTW: They chose "666" because the lottery always gets hammered when 666 hits and they wanted to be lost in the crowd.

22. Here's the Wikipedia on Perry and 666...
In 1977, Perry became the host of the live nightly broadcast of the Pennsylvania Lottery, which was then held in the studios of WTAE in Pittsburgh. On the night of April 16, 1980, more than six million viewers watched as Nick Perry pulled “666" as the winning number. Lottery authorities and local bookmakers became suspicious when a handful of players came forward to claim $1.8 million of the then record $3.5 million payout.

During the investigation, state officials concluded that Perry, Pennsylvania Lottery official Edward Plevel, WTAE art director Joseph Bock, WTAE stagehand Fred Luman, and brothers Peter and Jack Margos (Perry’s business partners) had conspired to rig the lottery drawing. The scheme was accomplished by weighting most of the numbered ping-pong balls with white latex paint so that only those with the numbers 4 or 6 were light enough to be drawn out by the lottery machine. A grand jury was called and charges were brought against all 6 men. Plevel was convicted and spent two years in prison. Bock and Luman pleaded guilty in exchange for lighter sentences. The Margos brothers avoided jail time by agreeing to testify against Perry.

...

In Pennsylvania, the number 666 is still often referred to as a “Nick Perry” and the lottery rigging as the "trip six fix".

18. It should occur
approximately one out of every thousand draws. How does it differ from 123 or 999 or any other number?

20. Add to that
the number of different drawings every day. It kind of becomes interesting when certain numbers don't show up.

But of course the issue that is going to tweak everyone is the tie in to the Pope. But then again one has to ask what PA has to do with the Pope. And again the fact that numerous such numbers are draw every day. To not find such a coincidence would be suspicious.
