Larry King is interviewing the guy from The Passion Of The Christ
I think the cable networks are running out of commentators.

9. No, the guy who PLAYED Christ
He's not a savior, but he's playing one on TV. If the Pope lingers for a few more days, don't be surprised if you see somebody chatting with Father Guido Sarducci.

27. He did that movie with Ashley Judd
and Morgan Freeman where he was the whacked-out soldier, too. And I think he was also the homeless guy in Pay It Forward.

13. That would be fundie actor Jim Caviezel.
It's a shame, 'cause he's a pretty good actor. Check him out in "the Thin Red Line," or "The Count of Monte Cristo," not that hysterical, blood-spattered snuff-porn that Mel Gibson made. :grr:

LOL!!! That sounds like what I posted right here on DU when the movie premiered: "substitute the Christ figure for a top-heavy blonde, and it's just another snuff film."

I've seen both those films and reviewed them for my radio station. Did you see him in "High Crimes"? The script wasn't great but he did a wonderful acting job. I just wish he's get a breakthrough role before he gets much older.

20. Deepak? ARGH!
I can't stand that smarmy gasbag. He's the Benny Hinn of New Agers.

Has he started blathering about how quantum physics will get you to Heaven sooner or anything?

If you want to see just how far Deepak has his head up his Cheney when it comes to quantum physics, do a google on "Victor Stenger."

Stenger's spent his whole career working in quantum physics. He absolutely despises phonies like Chopra and all his ilk. And Stenger DOES know what he's talking about. Like Carl Sagan or Richard Feynmann, Stenger also has the gift of being able to explain quantum physics to us ordinary dummies.

No disrespect, but I have better things to do than stare at a locked-in shot of Vatican city all night. But you're right, it's junk--especialy on Friday nights. It's 10PM EST now--I'm going to turn on Mike Malloy.

23. Larry King has been despicable for so long now
I always expect the lowest of the low kind of program from him and, surprise, surprise, he NEVER disappoints me.

He is simply there to do the bidding of the AOL/Time Warner and collect his paycheck, principle be damned, assuming he ever had any.

31. I thought the Passion was an good movie
Historically accurate? Nah. Anti-Semetic? Sure, I can see why Jews would certainly think so. Faithful to the Bible? Depends on which version you like to read.

BUT, that being said, the cinematogrophy was great, the acting was good, the blood was red and pouring. It was a moving picture. Over the top, bloody, gory, no basis in reality, exactly what I look for in a movie. It was an excellent followup to Gladiator.
