Say what you will - I admire the people who've stood out there all night |
|
Especially because it's raining now. And they're not protesting or yelling "JAYSUS SAVES!" They're being very respectful.

1. They are being respectful and tasteful in Italy |
|
No nutjobs laying on the ground pretending to be in a PVS. No raggly ass pick up trucks with "Those murdering Terri will burn in hell." No arm waving and speaking in tongues...no freaks screaming at people that they are murderers as they go visit their loved ones. What a scene.

2. It's called "dignity". |

Surprisingly, it still exists in some areas of the world.

3. My heart goes out to them. |

I can't imagine what this adjustment will be like for Catholics after 27 years. John Paul II was the third-longest serving Pope in history(surpassed in tenure only by Pius IX("Pio Nono") and Peter himself, as I understand it.
It will be a different scene in the Catholic world now.

4. I started a tread this afternoon noting the same contrast. This vigil is |

respectful-sombering at times.
