The further along we go in Iraq |
|
the more obvious it is that it is a smoke screen. I'm convinced that this bunch of crooks are using the situation to cover what they are really up to, the taking of our rights, the destruction of our constitution and the bankrupting of our government. I can hear it now We don't have any money to continue our social programs and we have to make cuts somewhere. Bastards they be.

1. I thought and said the same thing... |

War is a convenient way to loot our treasury. It has been going on since the end of WWII.
Vietnam? Another war for money. JFK? Killed because he wanted to end that war.
The current budget for 'military' is what? 400 Billion dollars. Plus 80 Billion plus 80 billion = 160 billion for special Iraq appropriations.
What do we as citizens get? NOTHING. No health care, no education, no solar energy, no national rail system, no nothing.
They, our government, has been literally taking our tax dollars, killing some people, and putting the majority of the money into their pockets.
It is a time for change. We have to change or our country will die.

2. It is definately tied into the domestic perpetual war policy, |
|
but dont think that the invasion of Iraq was random. It serves very real international goals.
But yes, it is probably more importantly another outburst of a policy of a constant war economy, whereby the average US taxpayer is subsidizing the rich to the point where they will soon have elevated themselves atop the world, and the constant threat of great foriegn enemy keeps people in line and allows the government leverage to abuse its power.
