Fess up. Who here thinks they are God?
I was just listening to America Right and some guy said that liberals think they see God when they look in the mirror. It put me in mind of a bumper sticker I saw some time ago saying "God exists and He isn't you."

OK, I know of lots of right wingers who say they represent God better than anyone else. They aren't saying they are God, you understand, but they are executives in His corporation. They enforce his policies, speak on His behalf when He is too busy to do it himself, sign His checks, etc., but they aren't really God.

But maybe on the left wing we have some people who think they are actually God. Is this autotheistic movement on the left something I haven't gotten the memo on?

6. I met God once. He was very kind. Explained a lot to me as he swept the
floor of his ward at Camarillo State Hospital.

Now you might think it was not really God I met on that field trip that day. Well, I will tell you something amazing. God told me he enjoyed our chat and thanked me for listening to him. He said he liked me and to show his appreciation for my time listening to him, he would send the sun to shine on my back yard next morning. You know what? The sun showed up, just as he promised.

Yep, I talked with God, and he never mentioned Robertson, Falwell or any of those other guys, not even once. He never asked if I went to church or even believed in him. He just thanked me for listening and said he would send the sun to shine on my back yard... Funny that a resident of a ward in a State Hospital should know my back yard faced east, isn't it?

Never told my instructor about meeting God on that field trip to that State Hospital. Never told my mom. Just always remembered the gentle chap pushing a big broom, explaining a lot to me about the other people in the ward. He was most kind and understanding. He asked nothing. He just wanted to bend my ear a bit and hear my voice. He went back to sweeping the floor. He told me, over his shoulder to 'be good and take care of myself'.

8. We all are that, what is
not to imply there is and is not, there simply is all,we are just bigger than words alone can say, in each and every one of us is everything, and we journey to wholeness, finding our wholeness along the way, so in passing another be kind, I try to use the golden rule, some day we will realize that we already are one. I know what I say here some will understand, and some will view it as nuts, but I grew up in the rational world, and found, where there was one reason, there were many, and in looking for truth, and a path to walk, I found the best thing to do is follow your heart, with love as my guide post. I find my self leaving this world and yet still here, and I will talk along the way, save you me. peace.

10. There are only 2 things of which I am sure.
#1) There is a God.
#2) I'm not him/her.

Blatantly stolen from the movie, "Rudy" I admit, but I still love the quote.

11. Define what you mean by "God".
Are you talking 'first cause'? Are you talking Imminent Being or Transcendent Being or both?

12. wellll...........
god is omnipresent, all things. that includes you me and the next one. we all go back to source. jesus is in our heart. we are spirit.

then we have the mind, ego. ego rules most of us and takes us away from spirit. we cant hear spirit thru ego. though we are still spirit (a piece of god, omnipresent) we just dont act thru spirit we allow ego to dictate. ego fights really hard to keep of from hearing spirit in order to survive

so in essence, yes i believe we are all god

15. I think this is probably an over-simplified reading
of New Age spirituality, something the Right is very good at, since they can't deal with complexity.
