The UN is involved in helping to conserve natural and historic treasures throughout the world.

I hate the bastards that would destroy the UN (neocons). The neocons want to destroy the UN simply because the neocons seek unchallenged power in the world. If the neocons achieve their goals, it would mean the destruction of the United States, just as previous fascist regimes have destroyed their host nations.

1. not many people know.....

that it was negotiations by the UN that caused Libya's Omar Kahdaffi to give up his weapons. The thing that pisses me off is that since then I've heard Paul Wolfowitz saying in interviews that the US is ridding the world of WMDs and then he commented that "We went to Kahdaffi and asked him what he was going to do and we can see what he did." (roughly paraphrasing)

He's a lying asshole to incinuate that the US had a damn thing to do with what Libya did. It was the UN and anyone can read how they did it by going to the UN website....something I'm sure Wolfie hopes no one does.

2. Too bad millions of Americans don't let facts get in the way .

They let hatemongers like Limbaugh establish their world view without a moment to scrutinize facts. It's sad that in a nation of immigrants, hate for foreigners can be so easily fomented.
