Ironic: Media Whores Responsible For Bush's Troubles? |
|
Will the Whoring done by our so called press be the main reason Bush could fall?
It's no secret the Press helped the hype, what with all their "Countdown Iraq" shows et all.
Think about it. They gave the members of the Admin whatever they wanted: face time on tv to plead their cases for war, GOP pundits talking bout how Saddam is a threat, attacking those who disagreed with the Admin, etc.....
So because of the press, many people were expecting the WMDs to be found, links to 9/11, Al Qaeda, etc. Only nothing has been found. The troops didn't get the welcoming party many were led to believe would happen and it's clear that help is needed.
This was supposed to be quick & easy, and Bush's critics would be proven wrong, he would prove to be a great leader....but something happend...apparently the script got lost.
Due to the press, expectations were high, but they have not been met...and it's becoming harder to ignore.
How's that for irony?

2. And the in-bed reporters in Iraq |
|
helped this process, turning Iraq into good TV, a story people want to check in on every night.
Making this whole thing into a big macho shoot-em-up worked fine for the first phase, but now it just underscores the debacle, day after day.
