I turned off the BBC when they showed |
|
I was watching the Pope's funeral , we had the BBC coverage, I had to turn it off, when they showed a shot of George Bush Snr and Condelezza Rice, Bush wispered something to her, and she cracked up laughing, the camera cut away very quickly. It was early on in the coverage.

2. They are so inappropriate. |

And to think they campaigned in 2000 on the idea that it was time for adults to be in charge. Sheesh!

You little hoochie. Talk about keeping it in the family. Hell, GW might need daddy to teach him about the wilder aspects of sex. On the other hand, that threesome is not an image I want to have in my brain.

7. European friends outraged |
|
At dinner tonight at the neighborhood place the conversation got around to the funeral -universal reaction was anger at the BBC for their "camera work" and focus on bush, as well as bush/rice behavior. They wanted to see others in the crowd. Most of the German networks weren't as bad. It could have been the feed that they used, but nobody was cutting BBC any slack.
Without exception everyone said "he cut the line" (something you just don't do, not if you don't want to get yelled at) yesterday when the pres and all arrived. Not exactly a scientific poll of all of German reaction, but I'd say this group is pretty typical.

9. Don't know anyone who has it |

and I haven't seen it for quite a while. Thought about a satellite package for a while, but we don't watch enough TV to justify it -basic cable includes BBC World and CCN-I. I get most of my US news over the internet. Last time I was in the US I watched Faux -shocked, numbing speechless shock.
