7. I remember that

I remember the day, last year, when that clip was on the news. I was at my grandma's house waiting to go to work and I was watching CNN Headline news and they kept playing that clip. The commentators would say, every time, that the night before, Bush had poked fun at himself at a banquet. I can remember thinking, this is just sick. Yeah, it is some light hearted romp over in Iraq and the president should feel free to make jokes like that. What a fucking asshole. I swear, I will aways remember that day when Bush made that little 'joke'.

I wrote to the editor of my local newspaper about it when it ran. Bush made this "funny" at the annual newscaster (?) dinner in D.C. a couple years ago. (I rank it right up there with the video of him flippin' off the cameraman for fun during tape setup, while he was TX Gov.)

Did anyone see the moveon.org followup ad about this clip? Where a young woman whose brother died in Iraq offered her opinion about it? I cried when I saw it. Shame on you GW.
