in the matter of the S.520, the Constitution Restoration Act of 2005 . . . through which the legislature seeks to diminish the powers of the judiciary (the opposing branch of government which acts as a check on legislative actions). . . unconstitutional on its face, of course (and something that should REALLY piss off the judiciary) . . .

however . . .

how many of our common sense challenged fellow citizens will see "Constitution Restoration" and assume the Act has something to do with restoring the Constitution? . . . (that "most sacred of documents" that most have never even read!) . . . and infer, therefore, that the Constitution needs restoring . . . for some reason they don't exactly understand but, hey, this is the Constitution we're talking about here! . . .

and how many will actually nod in agreement with the inevitable Republican din ("See? What'd we tell you? Point proven!!!") when the Act is declared unconstitutional about an hour after it's passed . . . (which it probably won't be, but let's just say) . . .

bottom line . . . it's a setup . . .

will the American people fall for it? . . . stay tuned . . .
