LA Times Vs GM

Heard that General Motors pulled all its advertising from the LA Times due to its "editorial content". Anybody know what "content" they are talking about?

1. GM was apparently incensed

The Times had the nerve to call GM's latest line of 20 mpg crapmobiles just that, and said that the management of GM should resign because they were incompetent fools who were bringing down the entire American auto industry.

Okay, that's my take on it. GM just said that the Times' reporting was full of errors, but somehow couldn't be bothered to come up with any actual examples:

So, like the kid who screams at his parents that they're mean and he hates them before running down the hall to his room and slamming the door behind him, GM is having a little tantrum.

I was just wondering if had to do with their products or something else like lobby efforts, etc. The local paper this AM said that GM wouldn't maintain the boycott as they wouldn't want to shut off the Ads for a community the size of LA. Hope the Times sees it the same way and doesn't cave.
