4. Bushiekins says he'll default on the debt. Guess who is owed $8 trillion? |
|
India, China, Europe... Saudi Arabia... SA and China each have big stakes in the American economy. They'll be rather angry if the US says "We won't pay you back, so sod off", regardless of how nice they try to say it? They'd declare bankruptcy to get the Chinese and the others off their backs.
As American banks are no longer friendly with their customers, I don't see why the Chinese or anyone else would be friendly to the US. Do you?
Bush has already said last week about those guaranteed bonds that aren't seemingly so guaranteed anymore.

9. Bush won't do that either |
|
Nor would it work.
Not only would no one lend you any money ever again, but there are enormous American assets around the world for 'in lieu of' payments.
Major US companies in China alone would not be happy with Mr Bush

6. No Empire's ever been permanent - we will implode from w/in |
|
As did Russia. It's funny - we're like a giant on a tightrope. It could take a mouse to push us off.
All they have to do is sit back while we spend every bit of money on our military, and then at the last minute, drop our currencies and we're pushed into 3rd world wasteland w/ a massive military w/ no gas to drive it.

7. And if that's the case, protect your car and the 5 gallons left in it. |

5 gallons means 110 miles for me. I wonder how others will fare...

It's not feasible. That's not how war works anymore. Nobody is going to conquer land. The only resource worth fighting over these days is oil, and none of your modern superstates has such a disproportionate amount that it's worth fighting on their soil.
We may come to blows in certain flashpoints, but probably not serious ones, and they will not be on either country's home turf.
