South Park Continues Its --OUR Side or *** Us Side |
|
It's currently attacking AARP and the OLD people as being SELFISH (financially). "The seniors get up so early in the morning..."
Like, *I* quit my AARP membersihip and got a refund over the Shrub Medicare thing. What am I supposed to do now that the AARP is under attack by the wingnuts.
Anyway, South Park is kkkool to me, but they irritate the Hades out of me.

2. I know they get a lot of defenders around here |

but I think stuff like theirs poisons the consciousness of young people more than others care to admit - and I mean in a political sense.

I mean, they're rich kids who struck it richer. They're going to work overtime to give the impression that they're "equal opportunity offenders".
That's why I didn't like Dennis Miller when he was on SNL -- he had the same rich-kid 'tude. My suspicions were confirmed when he went full-bore neo-con in 2002.

4. So far as I've seen with South Park, they've tried to offend everyone |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-11-05 09:32 PM by Selteri
in an attempt to create an awareness, they've bashed everyone from the AARP to Hippies, the government, the KKK and country bumkins.
They've even taken on Terri Schaivo, Agents, Mafia, Sylvester Stalone and baseball. Somehow I doubt that they will either be going away.
As for poisoning the minds of our youth, I think there are a lot of other offenders that we need to go after first, starting with most parents, teachers and our media in general.
*PS - The episode you are refering to is a rerun, an older one at that. They were tackling the issue of elderly drivers only a few weeks after the elserly man drove through a flea-market. To me they're not so much equal opportunity offenders so much as they chose to take for their scripts ideas that come right from our main stream media.

6. Hell if I know half the time |

They seem to be really big on making points in the end that seem surprisingly moderate, but most the time don't seem to be offering any simple or easy explanations.
