Chinese national with no ID, charged with "disobeying a police officer". Bags contained "nothing threatening".

I assume it was a command he didn't understand...

Police tackle man with bags at Capitol
Security scare forces evacuation

Monday, April 11, 2005 Posted: 6:57 PM EDT (2257

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Police on Monday tackled and dragged away a man with two suitcases who stationed himself in front of the west side of the Capitol and asked to see the president.

The man refused to say anything else to an officer who tried to talk with him, authorities said.

"He was not very responsive," said U.S. Capitol Police Chief Terrance Gainer. "The officer felt it was a possible suicide bomber."

The man was tackled by a SWAT team and charged with disobeying a police officer.

4. They drug him off by the arms for a very long distance with his knees
dragging on the ground/cement. That was an unnecessary action and I think very sadistic. I'd like to see a medical report on his condition. I heard that he pulls stunts like that repeatedly. They KNEW he was no danger and obviously a mental case.

People thought it was weird that he was just standing there.

I think her was ordered not to move and scared. If all those guys were pointing guns at me, I don't think I'd be strolling around the grounds.

Sad. A tourist that just wanted to get a look at a symbol of freedom? Welcome to Bush's America.

Meanwhile back at the Ranch, Bush does what about this guy?

9. Well, that's better than what I thought I saw! I thought they were...
dragging him by his feet, which would mean that his head was bumping along the sidewalk! I was horrified to see it on CNN!

7. Asylum Seeker!!! I'll Bet You Money! He Wanted Freedom!
I'll bet on it. Why else pull such a move.

Asking to see the president. He knew he'd get attention.

Anyone one the asylum seeker theory?
