4. Yes. It's $50,000 for the luxury SUV and $3 for the sticker.
So..."freedom" is $50,003 plus tax and licensing. Enjoy it! :eyes:

Aimed at getting kids to kill and die for a slogan.

Our "freedom" has not been truly in jeopardy since the Revolutionary War. And even then, the Regime of King George was actually pretty benign, compared to a lot of governments which existed in those days. I'm not so sure that we were even really threatened during World War 2. We pushed Japan into warring against us, with oil embargo's and restrictions on immigration. And it's common knowledge that certain U.S. businessmen helped to fund the Nazi war machine.

10. Freedom is a Buck o'Five
Artist: Trey Parker Lyrics
Song: Freedom Isn't Free Lyrics

What would you do
If you were asked to give up your dreams for freedom
What would you do
If asked to make the ultimate sacrifice

Would you think about all them people
Who gave up everything they had.
Would you think about all them War Vets
And would you start to feel bad

Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
No, there's a hefty fuckin' fee.
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?

What would you do
If someone told you to fight for freedom.
Would you answer the call
Or run away like a little pussy
'Cause the only reason that you're here.
Is 'cause folks died for you in the past
So maybe now it's your turn
To die kicking some ass

Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
Now there's a have to hook'in fee
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?

You don't throw in your buck 'o five. Who will?
Oooh buck 'o five
Freedom costs a buck 'o five

12. What I hate *most* about this phrase
is that it seems to assume that the war in Iraq has some relationship to freedom.

17. It does -
Freedom to invade Third World countries, and seize their resources at will. Or, in the case of Iraq, to cover the truth about 911, by attacking a nation that had no involvement, to make the sheeple think some action is being taken, and that we're gonna "kick them A-rabs butts fer attackin' our country". After all, we can't really go after bin Laden and the Saudis, can we? Might be hurtful to Shrub family business interests.

However, the war in Iraq has nothing to do with freedom.

18. Freedom is the appreciation of necessity
Karl Marx said it best: "Freedom is the appreciation of necessity."

Any other definition doesn't quite cover the idea as well.

19. I maintain freedom is free.
It is a State of mind. This song enraged Nazi's should work for Republicans.

Die Gedanken Sind Frei (Our Thoughts Are Free)

Die Gedanken sind frei
My thoughts freely flower,
Die Gedanken sind frei
My thoughts give me power.
No scholar can map them,
No hunter can trap them,
No man can deny:
Die Gedanken sind frei!

I think as I please
And this gives me pleasure,
My conscience decrees,
This right I must treasure;
My thoughts will not cater
To duke or dictator,
No man can deny--
Die Gedanken sind frei!

And if tyrants take me
And throw me in prison
My thoughts will burst free,
Like blossoms in season.
Foundations will crumble,
The structure will tumble,
And free men will cry:
Die Gedanken sind frei!

Neither trouble or pain
Will ever touch me again.
No good comes of fretting,
My hope's in forgetting.
Within myself still
I can think as I will,
But I laugh, do not cry:
Die Gedanken sind frei!

23. Many people take a free ride, but somewhere, someone is paying the
price.

Pretend the war in Iraq never happened. It's not a question about Bush's little adventure for oil.

There are plenty of people throughout the world who have died for freedom. Sometimes it is necessary to pay the ultimate price.

There are lots of other costs though.

A free society depends upon participation. People need to vote, serve on juries, be public servants.

People who blaze a trail pay a price. Do you think it was easy being an abolitionist or a woman fighting for the right to vote or a person fighting for civil rights? Martin Luther King paid a price.

Someone always has to pay the piper.
