And thus, that is why seeing the will of Middle Eastern people prevail in government is the last thing the U.S. wants.

...right in our own backyard. During our 'struggle' with communism, the fact that South and Central America were dominated by brutal, fascist regimes was no obstacle to our crusade for freedom. Agreed that democracy is the last thing the U.S. government wants. They can't control or hold down a true democracy.

When it comes to oil-rich nations, the only thing they want is complete submission.
