1. Haven't seen "This Week" yet...
...but Rummy was toast on MTP and Condi looked like a lamb at an abattoire on FTN. How would you guys rate the Rummy/Clark appearances on TWWGS?

9. Rummy got 90% of the show's time and Clark 10%
Steph kept Rummy on longer so he could try to prove that he wasn't intimidated by him...

2. Rumsfeld looks *very* off balance on Judas
I'm in central time, so I'm an hour behind.

4. Rummy on MTP: BURP, STUMBLE, DEFLECT, NON-ANSWERS
Lying sack of shit. When confronted by his own direct quotes, he tried to deflect. Truly comical and the most distressed I've ever see the moron.

6. My favorite.
Rummy: "Could I see that quote again?"
Russert: "Sure!"

5. when you submit your judgment
tell us if you've seen these folks (COndi, Dumbsfeld) speak much in the past and how they did today compared to times in the past. I've not seen them speak much. They seemed physically composed. But when you listened to them all you heard were evasions (and some lies), one after another.

7. I think Rumsfeld was sort of OK
He was very forcefull and aggressive, while the pundits (Russert and Steph.) seemed a bit intimidated (we didnt see the same kind of grilling that Russert gave Dean on MTP).

The convesation didnt really focus around the Niger Yellowcake issue but around the bigger picture of the WMD search and our comittement in Iraq.

Rumsfeld was saying "I dont know" alot.

8. You're kidding, right?
This was the weakest I've ever seen him. This assessment is based purely on the Russert interview; I haven't seen the This Week piece yet. Rummy looked REALLY bad, IMHO. I hope Jon Stewart does a piece on this--it could be really funny.

10. I agree
Russert was intimidated and stumbling, and let Rumsfeld decide what the focus of conversation was.

The question begging to be asked was, "If the president had been warned intel was suspect, why did he use it? Are we to assume he trusts UK intel more than our own?"

Rumsfeld is a liar. The problem is he's a very good liar and it's going to take a sharper pencil than Russert to take him down.
