I don't know how I subscribed to this, but apparently I did. I had to share this though, revolting though it is. :puke:

Did Female Warriors Cause Bin Laden Escape?

For those on Capitol Hill, the Pentagon and at the White House who think that women in land combat is a ho-hum non-issue, there is strong evidence the U.S. lost the opportunity to capture or kill Osama bin Laden because of politically correct Pentagon policies to have more female warriors.

:puke:

I don't want anymore of these emails, I will unsubscribe. :(

taking the heat for BushCo's 9-11 job.

5. Wow one stupid off the cuff comment and they throw reason out the window
They were going to send to some Stryker units in an early deployment mission but sent in special forces on horseback instead. Blame it all on the fact that some female soldiers were being trained along side of men in what would become a combat unit. The Stryker units were later deployed into Iraq, once readiness was achieved. The author of the article clearly never bothered to investigate exactly what positions female soldiers were providing in those units nor whether or not the units as a whole; regardless of the presence of female soldiers, were even remotely ready for deployment at the time of Tora Bora.

Had the units been fully trained and deployment ready; the commanders could have simply consolidated units by removing female soldiers from combat positions and cross filling those slots. If the writer of this piece had any military knowledge at all he/she would have also asked a military terrain/topography expert on just how effective a Stryker Brigade would have been in a region such as the Tora Bora mountains. Perhaps there was a reason mounted Special Forces units were chosen even over other possible choices including an Army Cavalry unit.

Two words: Dumb Ass

7. Fine -- release all the female military personnel from their contracts
The smaller our military, the less trouble we will be able to cause overseas.

I'm mostly kidding though -- I'm well aware of the tie-in between military service and attaining political power in the US.

At least that used to be the case -- looking at the last two elections, it seems that actual combat veterans fare worse and worse each time. Perhaps having active duty experience is becoming more of a political liablility for some bizarro reason (it's backwards now -- as with everything else in the Bizarro Bush universe...).
